Activision Blizzard’s Call of Duty mobile game is available on both the iPhone and Android platforms, but it has yet to be tested with Xbox players. According to a recent report by IGN, the game may not be able to play with Xbox players because of some unspecified “technical issues.” This isn’t the first time that Call of Duty mobile games have been met with criticism for not being able to work properly with Xbox players. In February, it was reported that Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered would not be compatible with Xbox One controllers due to “a technical issue.” It’s possible that this latest issue is related to the game’s new graphics engine, which was announced in February. The engine is said to allow for more realistic graphics and better performance on devices like Xbox One. However, it remains unclear if this will also affect Call of Duty: Mobile.
