There is no one definitive answer to this question, as it depends on the specific circumstances of each case. In general, though, deleting an account in a league will not void its participation or result in any other penalties.
If any of these apply to you, then this article is for you. A league account deletion is not as simple as just deleting your email address from their databases. You may think that all your information on their servers are erased once they remove your last login data, but you’ll be wrong.
Riot Games will store your account information and it is possible to recover it using some time and effort, but not impossible. So what can you do if you want to delete your LoL account? It’s actually pretty simple! First, log into the web version of league and then go to settings (the gear icon). Then click on ‘delete my account’‘. You might also see buttons titled “ban appeal” or “account manipulation”, which are fairly difficult to get rid of so don’t bother with them. Once you’ve clicked on that button, you’ll be presented with a form asking why you’re leaving LoL.
There are four different options you can choose from which will have different consequences once you’ve left. – A smooth exit – Delete account and Riot Points – Leave a message – No exit A smooth exit gives you the option to leave a goodbye message or not. This will, however, delete your account completely and all of your information is irretrievable.
A ‘Delete’ account (without riot points) will also remove all of your game data but maintain your summoner name which you’ll be able to use again if you ever decide to get back into LoL down the line. Your ‘Leave a message’ option will only let you say farewell in the form of an 800 character long post. If you choose no exit, then it’s possible that Riot Games still has some control over your account because there may be an open pending issue you need to resolve.
