The popular online dating site, POF, is set to expire on September 30. If you have not already deleted your account, you should do so now. If you have not used POF in a while, it is also recommended that you refreshen your account and delete any old profiles and photos.

I have to agree with you that it is really evil from them to do this kind of cheating on its users. It was my first time to encounter such a thing! Obviously, I think you are right about this which has been happening on 2013 June 29th,

So far no one had been made recover his/her money back since then! That means these cheaters simply ignored every single complain or request from us who lost our money. Luckily we were very active members at that time, otherwise they might make use of the fact that we were quiet. I felt very surprised and angry when they did this. We all know that POF’s positioning is doing the best possible to make money out of users, but I think it is not supposed to be such a mean method as you have pointed out! Unfortunately, most of us are Chinese so we cannot instruct lawyers or agencies to confront with POF due to language barrier, but hopefully someone can do something about it.

A tip for those who lose their money on pof:I was told that POF might refund your money if you threaten them by telling them that you will report this case to US Federal Trade Commission (FTC). They may fear getting in trouble with FTC since they are an international dating website now.
