Steam accounts can expire, but it’s not always clear what happens if they do. Generally speaking, Steam accounts are valid for a certain amount of time and then expire. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule. If you delete your Steam account or change your name on the platform, your account may still be valid for another year. If you leave Valve Corporation or its subsidiary companies (like Greenlight) and their games (like Counter-Strike) unsupported for more than six months, your account may also be expired.
