If you own an iPhone, then you’re probably familiar with the Apple Remote. This handy tool lets you control your device from a distance, whether you’re sitting in your living room or working in your office. But what if you want to add an Apple Remote to your iPhone without having to purchase one? Here’s how to do it! First, find a compatible Apple Remote. If you have an older model of the iPhone, then chances are that the remote won’t work with newer models. However, there are many compatible remotes available online and in physical stores. Once you’ve found a remote that works with your iPhone, follow these steps to add it:
- Plug the power cord into an outlet and plug the remote into one of the USB ports on your computer. If your computer doesn’t have a USB port, then connect the remote using an ethernet cable.
- Open up iTunes and click on the “Add New Item” button at the top of the screen. Type “Apple Remote” into the text field and click on “Add.”
- When iTunes asks for your password, enter it into the “Password” field and click on “Create.” iTunes will create a new folder called “Remote Add-ons” inside of its main folder. Now open up this folder and drag and drop all of the compatible remotes into this folder. You’ll now see all of them listed under “Remote Add-ons.”
- To use any of these remotes, just press their corresponding buttons on your iPhone!
