If you’re like most OkCupid users, you probably use the app to find dates. But if you’re anything like me, you’ve also used it to cancel dates. Here’s how to do it on Android:
- Open the OkCupid app and sign in.
- On the main screen, tap on your profile picture in the top left corner.
- Under “Settings,” tap on “Subscriptions.”
- On the “Subscriptions” page, tap on the blue “Cancel My Subscription” button next to your subscription date. (If you have multiple subscriptions, just select the one you want to cancel.)
- Tap on “Confirm” and then “Cancel.” ..
Tap on this link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.okcupid2&hl=en_GB to open the Google Play store app on your phone or tablet and scroll down until you find the OkCupid app, select it by tapping on it twice as in the screenshot above to open our app details page, then tap on “Uninstall”.
You will now see a screen with an uninstall button that says Do you want to remove OkCupid? This is what you should be looking for and if you want to cancel your subscription tap that button which will begin the process of uninstalling our app.
In some instances you may see a pop-up box that says “You have purchased OkCupid but it has not yet been downloaded”. If this is the case then tap on “Ok” to confirm you want to cancel your subscription and begin the uninstall process.
As soon as you do so, another notification should appear saying Your okcupid subscription has been canceled successfully . Tap on this notification (it will be displayed for 30 seconds) to return to Google Play immediately and continue browsing the store. Note: You will now be able to download as many free apps as you like from Google Play without any further charges or interruptions from OkCupid advertising or notifications.
To finish off, to ensure that no trace of OkCupid remains on your device, it is recommended you clear the cache and data for our app as follows:
a. Go to Settings, Applications, Manage Applications and find OkCupid in the list.
b. Tap on OkCupid and select Clear Cache . If a pop-up box appears check “Yes – delete cache” then hit OK .
c. Tap on OkCupid again and select Clear Data (or just Clear Data if you cleared the cache successfully at the previous step) and tap OK . This will ensure that our app is removed completely from your device so it cannot come back or cause any more problems in the future when you try to uninstall it manually from Google Play.
