NAT type is a network address translation service that allows PlayStation 4 users to play games with friends in countries that have different addresses. NAT type is required for some games, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops III, to work. To change NAT type on your PlayStation 4, you will need to know the following: -The network address of the device on which you want to play the game -The country code of the device in question -The NAT type of the device
- Find the network address of your PlayStation 4. This can be found by looking at your system’s Network Status screen and finding the blue line that says “Network Address.” The network address will be listed in this location.
- Copy this network address and country code into a text editor or online calculator. For example, if I wanted to change my NAT type from IPv4 to IPv6, I would copy these two values into a text editor and then save them as “NAT Type” and “Country Code” respectively.
- Now that you have copied both values, you need to set up your PlayStation 4 so that it can use them correctly. To do this, you will need to go into Settings and select Network & Internet Options. On this page, you will need to select “Network.” In addition, you will need to select “Add New Network.” On this page, enter the following information into the fields: -The network address of your PlayStation 4 -The country code of your Playstation 4 -The NAT type of your device (IPv4 or IPv6)
- Click on “Create New Network” and then click on “OK.” You should now see a new network in your System Status screen with both devices connected thereto!
