If you’re like most people, you probably use Gmail as your primary email account. It’s free and easy to use, and it’s a great way to keep in touch with friends and family. But if you’re a child or teenager, your account might be different than the one you use at work or at home. First, make sure that you’re logged in to your Gmail account. If not, go to the Accounts page and click on the Login button. Then enter your name and password (if any). Next, change your password. If you don’t have one yet, create one now by going to the Password page and clicking on the Create Password button. You’ll need to provide some basic information such as your name and date of birth. Once you’ve created a new password, enter it into the Login box on the Accounts page of Gmail. You’ll see a message telling you that your password has been changed. Now log in to your new account and enjoy using Gmail as normal!

The  best  way  to do this  is to call Google  directly  with the phone number  located  at the very bottom of  the page you are currently viewing.  Once you have contacted them, and they agree to make the change for you, they will then need some basic information from you so that they can complete the request.

When changing your childs date of birth within their gmail account is completed, everyone who has your email address on file will see that your child was born in a specific year . People with whom you have never corresponded before may forget why it is that they have your kids birthday listed as today instead of yesterday when  and  they  first  contact  you.  You will be required to  explain that it is  only your childs date of birth within their gmail account  that has been changed and not in any other way.

Please note: Changing your childs Gmail account from a minor (child ) to an adult or standard account will automatically delete all messages stored on the servers for the email address you wish to use as a primary account going forward.
