Microsoft account changes are a common occurrence on laptops, but they can be a little tricky to manage. Here’s how to change your Microsoft account on a laptop:

  1. Log in to your Microsoft account online. This is the easiest way to do it.
  2. In the Accounts area of the main screen, click on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen and select “Change my account.”
  3. On the next page, enter your new name for your Microsoft account and click on “Create.” You will be asked to provide some information about your computer and Microsoft account. If you have an active subscription for Office 365, you will also be asked to provide that information too. After you have created your new Microsoft account, you can use it to log in to any computer that has an Office 365 subscription or use it as a personal identity for online activities such as online banking and shopping.
