To start with, look at who has been following you the most and see if they’ve been using your account for anything other than just taking pictures and posting updates. If they have, then congrats! But if not, it’s time to start checking out their posts for suspicious activity. Some signs of suspicious activity on Instagram include posts with fake or unauthorized images or videos; posts with links that don’t lead anywhere; posts without any followers or comments; and posts that are too short or too long for an average person to read. If you see any of these things happening on your own account or in reports from other users, it’s important to reach out to Instagram support so that they can investigate the situation further. But even if you don’t have access to Instagram support yet, there are a few other ways to check whether someone is using your account legitimately. First off, look at their bio: usually this will list some information about their job or what type of music they like (or whatever else might be relevant). If this information matches what we’ve seen in previous investigations (e.g., they have no followers but work at a company with an Instagram page), then we think they’re probably using their account legitimately. But even if their bio doesn’t match up specifically with what we’ve seen before, sometimes all it takes is a quick glance at their photos and videos for us to determine whether they’re using
