If you’re like most people, you probably check your Instagram account multiple times a day. But if you’re also like most people, there are probably a few messages that just won’t go away. Whether it’s a DM from a friend that you can’t ignore or an annoying notification from Instagram itself, clearing all messages on Instagram can be really helpful. Here are four ways to do it:

  1. Open the Instagram app and go to your profile. Tap the three lines in the top left corner of the screen and select “Clear All Messages.”
  2. If you have an iPhone, open the Messages app and tap on the blue envelope icon next to your name at the top of the screen. (If you don’t have an iPhone, go to https://www.instagram.com/help/ on your computer and look for “Clear All Messages.)
  3. On Android devices, open the Instagram app and tap on three lines in top left corner of screen (or press Menu > Settings > General > Clear All Messages).
  4. If you use WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger, open those apps instead and message your friends directly to clear all messages on those platforms as well! ..
