If you’re a recent user of the Fitbit Charge, Charge 2, or Charge 3, it’s time to clear your Fitbit for a new user. If you’re not sure if you’re a new or returning customer, here are some tips to help make sure your Fitbit is ready for the next user:
- Reset your device. If you’ve never used your Fitbit before, reset it to its factory settings. This will erase all of your data and start over from scratch.
- Check for updates. Make sure that all of the latest software updates are available for your device. This includes both the main app and any companion apps that may be installed on it (like the Garmin Connect app).
- Remove any old apps and data. If you uninstall any old apps or data on your device, it’ll be easier to set up and use your new Fitbit in the future.
