If you’re like most people, you probably use Instagram to keep in touch with friends and family. But if you’re a business owner or individual, you may also be using the app to communicate with customers and clients. But now that Instagram is owned by Facebook, it’s possible that your messages could be deleted by Facebook if they feel like they don’t meet company standards. To avoid this happening, make sure to follow these tips:
- Make sure your account is set up for two-factor authentication. This will require you to enter your username and password in addition to your Instagram account password. If you don’t have two-factor authentication set up, Facebook will be able to access your account and delete all of your messages without warning.
- Use a separate phone for each account. If one of your accounts is on an iPhone and one is on an Android device, use a different phone for each account so that if one of your messages gets deleted on one device but not the other, you can still access it on the other device.
- Keep track of when each message was sent and received. This will help you determine which ones were deleted by Facebook and which ones were just lost in transit or accidentally sent out by mistake.
