If you’ve ever sent an Instagram message and then deleted it, you may have had to go through the trouble of deleting the message again. If you don’t, your followers may think that you never sent the message in the first place. To delete an Instagram message, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your account and open the app.
  2. Type “delete” in the top left corner of the main screen and hit “delete.”
  3. If you’ve already sent a message with this same name, it will be removed from your account first and then from your phone’s messaging history.
