If you’re like most people, you probably have movies and TV shows stored on your iTunes library. But if you want to delete them, there are a few steps you can take to do so. First, open the iTunes Preferences and select the Movies tab. On the Movies tab, select the option to Delete movies from my library. Then click on the Delete button. If you’ve made any changes to your library since last deletion, iTunes will ask for confirmation before deleting any movies and TV shows. Once deleted, all of these items will be gone forever.
Download and install iFunbox on your computer (make sure that it works with your particular operating system).
Download and install iTools on your computer (make sure that it works with your particular operating system). Both of these programs are available for free, so please make sure that you download the correct version for your operating system before continuing.
Locate the movie in iTunes and right click on it. Click “File Sharing” from the menu list that appears when you right click. 4) Choose “Delete File”. The movie will be deleted permanently from your computer after a few seconds. Please note that this type of file cannot be recovered even if you use iFunbox or other recovery software, but there is no way to prove that you did delete it unless someone else knows what happened to the file.
So, there you have it — two simple ways of permanently deleting files or folders that you don’t need any longer. Again, just be careful and make sure that you are deleting the right things and not something important by mistake! Also keep in mind that everything is stored on your computer’s hard drive so if you accidentally delete something then it can always be retrieved using some sort of recovery software. Just make sure to choose wisely before deleting anything…and always remember to backup often! Do you have any other suggestions or comments about how to permanently delete things from your computer? Posted by: John | May 7, 2014 at 08:26 AM Permanent deletion isn’t a hard thing to accomplish. It’s as easy as deleting a file or removing a directory completely from your systems disk drive. But how can you accomplish this task if you’ve accidentally deleted something important from your Mac and wish that it would be deleted forever? Well, there are several ways in which you can achieve permanent removal of anything that you don’t want anymore. Let’s take a look!
Deleting an Item from Your Library
When you want to permanently delete a file or directory, the best place to start is with your computer’s library. In this system that is used in Mac OS X (and other operating systems as well), all of the files and directories that are stored on your hard drive are broken into several different locations depending on what kinds of content it contains. For example, if your file or folder has pictures, then it will be classified under one location while video will go under another location and music yet somewhere else. This means that if you looked at the directory structure for any given movie item then there could be numerous places where the video itself is located and most of these items might not even have anything to do with the movie you are looking for. Taking this concept into consideration, it should be pretty easy to see why a file that is no longer located in your library might still be there after you have deleted or moved it! Here are some ways that can help you find missing items and remove them from your hard drive once and for all…
This probably seems like a no-brainer because trash cans (and files) are temporary storage locations anyway. The problem with this method of removal is that most garbage collection routines don’t actually permanently delete anything from the disk until something else needs the space on the disk. This means that if you recently emptied out your trash then any files stored there could still be intact on your Mac’s hard drive. So if the file that you’re looking for is still located under this folder, then you might be able to retrieve it again if your system didn’t properly remove it from the trash can after deleting.
This method will work in nearly every situation because it requires two separate actions at once and most users wouldn’t even think about doing both tasks simultaneously. Here’s how to use this trick: Open up your computer by pressing command+alt+delete or just click on the apple menu while holding down the option key Select “Go” from the menu list and then select “Go To Folder” Type into the box.
