If you have multiple Facebook accounts, it’s important to delete them all one by one. This will help you keep your account information safe and prevent any potential problems. To delete a Facebook account:
- Log in to your Facebook account.
- Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the main screen (the one with the green checkmark).
- Select “Delete Account.”
- Type in your password and click on “Delete.”
Click on “Account Settings” from the top of your homepage and then click on the “Account Deactivation”. Alternatively, you can access this page by mouse-clicking on the down arrow next to “Logout Account”, found under the blue Facebook logo in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Make sure that all inactive accounts are completely deactivated first before continuing. On this page scroll down until you see an option for deleting your account (see below). Once you have clicked on it press the “Delete My Account” button to begin the deletion process.
After clicking the “Delete My Account” button you will be presented with a dialog box asking if you are sure that you want your account to be permanently deleted. If so, click on “Yes, Delete My Account”.
Is it possible for someone to deactivate my account if I haven’t done that myself, and there is no one else with access to the account? Good news – yes, this is possible. In order to do so, you need a phone number that is connected to your Facebook account. If you are in possession of such a number, please:
- Go to the Account settings page and click on “Active Sessions” under the Security section (it should be at the bottom). Now check whether there are any sessions with your IP address (the same network when you’re logged in), if not, move on. Then go back to Account Settings from the left sidebar menu and click on Privacy > Deactivate [link] 2) At the top of the page, write your phone number into the “Deactivate” box and click on “Next”. In a few minutes, you will get an email from Facebook with a confirmation link. Click on it to confirm the deactivation request.
If there are more than one accounts using this IP address, they will all be deactivated in the end. Please make sure that you have previously logged out from all your devices before trying to deactivate any account (otherwise it might still be possible to log in). After that please contact me so I can delete all personal information connected with your IP and then restore access to your account by removing this restriction from my side.
