If you’re feeling ready to say goodbye to your BBM account, here’s how to do it.

  1. Launch the BBM app on your phone.
  2. Tap on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Select “Settings.”
  4. Under “Accounts,” tap on “Delete Account.”
  5. Enter your password if prompted and confirm deletion by tapping on “Yes.” ..

On your BlackBerry smartphone, launch B B M. Tap Menu > Options (or More Options for devices running OS version earlier than BlackBerry 6). Scroll down to Delete Account and tap it. If you wish to delete only your profile information such as Contacts, pictures or other data but keep your PIN number intact then select Delete Profile. However if you want to completely remove all of your profile information including the PIN number, then select Delete All Accounts instead. Then hit Next at bottom right corner of screen. Select Yes if you want to confirm you want to delete B B M account. And hit Next. That’s it!

On B B M enabled tablet, launch B B M from your home screen and tap Menu > Options (or More Options for devices running BlackBerry Tablet OS 1.0). Scroll down to Delete Account and tap it. Follow the same steps as listed above on smartphone version of B B M . That’s it!

Did a hard reset with no luck still logged in – contacted BBM Support who advised that my profile was not being deleted and now my number is stuck in limbo unable to log in or out until someone at RIM has their say!!! Why could you not have gone into Settings>Advanced>delete B B M account? Grrrr.

B B M support advised to re-log in and push Yes when asked to delete account – B B M was then deleted.

You can also download a B B M app from android market, install it on your device and follow the steps as shown above. B B M app is available for free.
