If you’re a GameStop customer, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the company’s deletion policy. If not, here’s a quick overview:

  1. Log in to your account and click on the “My Account” link in the top left corner of the screen.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom and click on “Delete Account.”
  3. Enter your name and password for your account and hit “Delete.”
  4. Your account will be deleted and all of your data will be lost. Be sure to back up your data before deleting your account!

The most common reasons for closing down an account are problems with a returned purchase and/or fraud concerns.

Please note: Information cannot be deleted from our records at this time. Once your account is terminated, any personal information associated with it will not be accessible, except to certain businesses that partner with us for credit consideration or protection against loss on pre-owned product returns (re-buy). If  you  are  interested  in  terminating your  account, please do the following: Login to your account at http://www.gamestop.com/createacct/ Log in using your email address and password Click “My Account” at the top of the page Select “Edit Profile” from the My Account menu Scroll down to the bottom of this web page and click [submit]. Please Note: Once you complete this process, all personal information associated with your GameStop account will be deleted, except for our records as outlined above. The decision to terminate is final and once it has been completed your ability to access or edit information you have entered will be removed.

Go to https://secure.gamestop.com/  and choose “Sign Out” in the upper right corner. If you want to delete your account and not just sign out, follow these steps:  

  1. Go to  https://accountmanagement.games stop.com  

  2. Login with your email address  

  3. Click on “More Options”, then on  “Delete Account”

 4) Confirm the deletion of your account by clicking on  “YES DELETE MY GAME STOP ACCOUNT”.
