If you’re an Uber user and have a credit card, it’s important to know how to delete your card. Deleting your card will stop you from using Uber for a period of time, and you’ll need to reapply for a new one. To delete your Uber credit card:

  1. Log in to your account and click on the “My Account” tab.
  2. Scroll down and click on the “Credit Cards” tab.
  3. Click on the “Delete Card” button.
  4. Enter your information into the “Delete Card Information” field and click on the “Submit” button.

On the app menu, tap Settings Tap Payment Enter your Uber password if prompted. Scroll down and tap Edit under Payment Methods Tap the red minus icon next to the card you wish to remove Confirm removal by tapping Delete Card Close settings

When you remove a credit card from Uber, we immediately deactivate it. It will no longer be available for use in the Uber app and cannot be used to make purchases within the app going forward. Your financial institution will continue to hold the original transaction amount until you get a new one. If this charge is not disputed and reversed by your bank or other means, you remain responsible for these amounts on your statement and may have to pay additional fees, depending on your bank’s policies.

Their support is extremely unhelpful. I was forced to buy a $100 uber credit in order to speak to someone about this and the guy just kept repeating “it’s not our problem”, I then asked him if it was possible for me to get refunded as when i tried using the uber credit at first, i got some error so didn’t realise that you have to open the app in order for it to work, now all my payment methods are blocked with no way of getting them back or being able to pay and use Uber again. Because they can’t give me an account number for their company, nor tell me how much uber credits i own because they never answered my last email regarding these details, there is no other option but go to consumer affairs and am hoping that they will help me get my money back, as i don’t have another option. The guy also started telling me that if he could give me a refund it would be on top of the uber credit… what?? That’s not how refunds work!!
