If you are a guest user in Windows 7, you may be able to disable the Guest account by using the following steps:

  1. Open the Start screen and type “cmd” (without the quotes) and hit enter.
  2. Type “netstat -a” and hit enter.
  3. Look for the “GUID” line and copy it to a text editor such as Notepad.
  4. Type “netstat -guid” and hit enter.
  5. Paste the contents of the text editor into a new window and click on OK to close it.
