LinkedIn is a great resource for networking and finding jobs, but it can also be a source of embarrassment if your profile is not up to date. Here are five tips to help you hide your profile from the public eye.

  1. Use a Pseudonym If you want to keep your personal information private, use a pseudonym instead of your real name. This will make it difficult for people to find out who you are, and they won’t be able to see your resume or other professional information.
  2. Change Your Picture If you want to keep your appearance private, change the picture on your profile. You can use a stock photo or take a picture yourself using a secret camera angle. This will help disguise your appearance and protect your privacy.
  3. Delete Your Profile If You’re Not Using It Anymore If you no longer need or want your LinkedIn profile, delete it! This will make it difficult for people to find it online, and it will protect your privacy.
  4. Use Security Settings To Protect Your Profile Information You can use security settings on LinkedIn to protect yourself from unauthorized access and theft of your personal information. These settings include password protection and encryption of your account data. ..

In addition to the above, LinkedIn also offers a more permanent solution if you’d like to hide your profile for good. This process will require you to deactivate your account and then delete all of its contents (recommended). You can find out how to do this here.

We hope that these answers will help you with any queries or issues that you may have had in regards to making changes on your privacy settings.
