If you’re like most people, you probably use your iPhone to store and access files. But there are a few things you can do to make sure your files stay safe and accessible, even if you lose or forget your phone.
- Create a backup of your files: Make a copy of all of your important files, including photos, videos, and documents. This way, if something happens to your phone or if you lose it, you have a back-up of everything.
- Disable iCloud: If iCloud is enabled on your iPhone, it will automatically sync all of the data in your account with Apple’s servers. If you disable iCloud, then each time you turn on your phone again (or restore it from a backup), you’ll have to enter in the new password for iCloud again. This can be difficult to do if you don’t know what it is already!
- Use two-factor authentication: Two-factor authentication helps protect against unauthorized access to your account by requiring someone else (such as an email address or code) to sign in before they can access the information in your account. This can be helpful if someone is trying to steal information from your account without having access to it first.
