If you’re like most people, you probably have a few different remotes scattered around your house - one for the TV, one for the DVD player, and maybe one for the stereo. But what if you want to watch your favorite show on your Xbox 360 without having to search through all of those individual remotes? Well, thanks to the Xbox 360 universal remote, that’s now possible. This nifty little device lets you control your TV, DVD player, and stereo from one central location - so all you have to do is program it beforehand. Here’s how to do it:

  1. First thing you’ll need is an Xbox 360 universal remote. If you don’t already have one, be sure to pick one up at your local electronics store.
  2. Once you’ve got your remote in hand, head over to the Xbox 360 dashboard and select “Settings.” From here, select “Remote Control.”
  3. On the next screen, click on “Add a New Remote.” In the ensuing window, enter in the details of your new remote - including its manufacturer and model number. Make sure that everything looks correct before clicking on “Next.”
  4. Now comes the fun part: programming! To begin programming your Xbox 360 universal remote, first make sure that it’s turned off (by pressing any button on it). Next, press and hold down both of the buttons on your new remote until they start flashing blue (this will indicate that it’s in learning mode). Finally release both buttons and wait about two seconds until your new remote starts scanning for signals. When it does, press any button on it to begin programming. ..
