If you have a Google Family Link app on your child’s phone, it’s time to remove it. The app is a tool that allows parents to connect with their children through the internet. It can be a helpful tool for parents who want to keep in touch with their children, but it can also be a nuisance for kids who don’t want their parents contacting them through the internet. To remove the Google Family Link app from your child’s phone, follow these steps:
- Open the Settings app and select General > About Phone > Device Status. If the Google Family Link app is listed as an installed application, it will be listed as “installed.” If not, open the App Store and search for “Google Family Link.” Once you find the app, uninstall it by tapping on its icon and selecting “Remove from device.”
- Open up your child’s phone and log in to their account using their username and password. Once they’re logged in, open up their account settings and select “Family Links.” Under “Family Links,” select “Google FamilyLink” and click on the Remove button.
- Log out of your child’s account and delete all of their family links from their account if they have them set up that way. If they don’t have family links set up, you won’t be able to remove them from their account either.
