If you have an iPhone, there’s a good chance that you’ve used iring to clean it. But if you’re not careful, it can remove some of the built-in protection against data theft and other damage. To remove iring from your iPhone, follow these steps:
- Open the iPhone’s case and remove the battery.
- Remove any screws that hold the phone together. Be careful not to damage the phone or its components.
- Pry off the adhesive on top of the phone’s glass screen protector using a sharp object or a credit card (or your fingers). Be sure to avoid damaging any of the phone’s circuitry or internals.
- Place your iPhone face down on a hard surface such as a counter or table and wait for it to dry completely before re-attaching the screen protector using screws from step 3 (if needed).
