For those that have installed the free trial version of McAfee Security app for Mobile via Google Play on their Android devices, you will now see an annoying reminder to complete your 30-day trial by purchasing a full subscription from within the application. Unfortunately there’s not way to disable this but there is however a workaround until you’re ready to sign up for a paid subscription with them:
Open the App Drawer and launch “Settings”. Select “Apps” and scroll down until you find “McAfee Security”. Tap on it and select “Disable” from the options menu.
Repeat the above steps for “McAfee Security Cloud”.
Open the App Drawer again and launch “Market” followed by “My Apps”. Locate the McAfee app, select it and select “Uninstall” from the top options menu.
Exit out of your Home Screen and open Google Play to start over with a fresh download/installation of McAfee Security for Mobile or any other application that was causing issues previously.
Once McAfee Security has installed, launch the app and the warning about your 30-day trial will no longer be there. It may or may not prompt you to login but if it does, just tap on “Login Anyway” then return back to the main page of the app.
Download a different app such as Root Uninstaller (free from Google Play), install it and run it.
