If you’re ever having trouble resetting your laptop to factory settings, here’s how to do it.
- Open the laptop’s lid and remove the battery.
- Locate the power cord and plug it in to an outlet.
- Open the laptop’s case and remove any screws that hold the case together.
- Lift out the battery and place it in a safe place.
- Place the motherboard back in its original position (if it was removed).
- Reattach all of the screws that held the case together before removing them again (leave some unscrewed).
- Replace the battery and screw back into place, making sure not to overtighten anything!
