If your Nissan Maxima has been reported as stolen, there are a few things you can do to reset the anti-theft system.

  1. Open the door of the car and remove the battery cover.
  2. Remove any screws that hold the anti-theft system module in place.
  3. Disconnect all wires from the module (except for one that goes to ground).
  4. Place the module on a work surface and disconnect all other wires from it (except for one that goes to ground).
  5. Reattach all screws and reattach battery cover.
