If you’re like most people, your Xbox 360 controller is starting to feel a little out of place. Maybe you don’t know how to reset it. Here’s how:
- Open the console’s power button and hold it down for about 10 seconds. This will turn off the console and disable any features that may be enabled by default.
- Lift the power cord from the controller and disconnect it from the wall outlet.
- Remove any screws that are located on either side of the controller (if there are any). Be sure to take note of which screw goes where, as this will be important later on when resetting the controller.
- Place the controller in a safe place and wait until it has finished booting up (usually about 5 minutes). Once it has finished, press and hold down one of the two buttons on top of the controller for about 10 seconds until you hear a beep sound coming from it. This will reset all of its settings back to their defaults!
