If you’re like most people, you probably don’t have a Hisense TV remote. In fact, if you’re reading this article, it’s likely that you’ve already tried using your phone or a universal remote to control your Hisense TV. But what if you don’t have a phone or a universal remote? Or what if you just want to take the hassle out of setting up your new TV? Here are four tips on how to setup your Hisense TV without a remote.

  1. Use the Hisense TV’s Settings Menu The first step is to head over to the settings menu on your Hisense TV and find the “Remote Control” option. From here, you can enter in your Wi-Fi network name and password so that the TV can connect to the internet and retrieve its settings from there. Once this is done, you’ll be able to use the included remote control or your phone’s touchscreen interface to navigate through all of the available menus and settings on your new TV.
  2. Use an App for Remote Control If using a smartphone or tablet as a remote control isn’t ideal for some reason (maybe you don’t have access to Wi-Fi), then consider using one of the many free apps available that allow for basic control of TVs and other devices from afar. Popular options include Air Remote and Universal Remote for Android, as well as IR Remote for Apple products. Just make sure that whichever app you choose has been installed on your device and registered with the corresponding service provider (usually provided in app descriptions). Otherwise, you’ll just be able to control basic functions like volume and channel surfing – not much use when trying to setup an entire new television! ..
