Destiny 2 is a game that encourages players to socialize with one another. Whether it’s coordinating attacks or just trading stories, Destiny 2 is a game that thrives on communication. Unfortunately, the original Destiny didn’t have great text chat options. Thankfully, Bungie has addressed this issue in Destiny 2 by adding several new features to the game’s chat system. The first thing you want to do is open up the chat menu and select “Friends.” This will bring up a list of all of your friends in the game as well as any public groups you may be a part of. If you don’t see someone you want to talk to, you can search for them by name or clan tag. Once you have found someone you want to talk to, simply hit “Start Conversation” and begin typing away! You can use either the keyboard or controller (depending on which platform you are playing on). The controls are pretty straightforward – just press A or D-Pad left/right to move your character around and use the buttons on the controller to type. If someone else in your party wants to join in on the conversation, they can press X/Square while talking with someone else in order to open up a second window for them so they can continue chatting without interruption. Additionally, if someone interrupts your conversation by joining a public group or leaving the game entirely, they will be automatically kicked out of your current conversation and replaced by another player from your Friends list who is currently online. ..
