If you’re like most people, you probably use Instagram to document your life and share photos and videos with your friends. But if you want to turn off the public view of your account completely, there are a few steps you can take.

  1. Open Instagram and sign in.
  2. Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the main screen (the one that looks like a gear wheel). This will open a menu with several options, including “Account Settings.”
  3. Scroll down until you find " vanished ," and click on it. This will turn off all public views of your account for the current day.
